Achieve a Beautiful New Smile

When you suffer from missing teeth, your self-confidence dwindles down. Not only does it affect how you view yourself, but it can also affect your oral health. If you leave gaps in your smile for too long, there can be serious health consequences, such as gum disease and dental misalignment.

Fortunately, Dr. Behzad Abadi proudly offers natural-looking dental implants as a restorative solution to missing teeth. He has years of expertise under his belt and is passionate about giving his patients the smile they desire. We’re happy to provide our comprehensive dentistry in Encino and Downey, CA as well as areas including Calabasas, North Hollywood, Lakewood, Buena Parks, East Los Angeles, and many more!

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are permanent and stable tooth replacements used to replace one, several, or an entire arch of missing teeth. Dental implants can last up to 20 years to a lifetime, making them a favorite amongst patients.

The dental implant post is a screw made out of titanium that’s surgically placed into the jawbone at the site of a missing tooth. Your jawbone naturally bonds with the post, creating a sturdy foundation for your artificial teeth.

The Dental Implant Process

Initial Consultation

When you come into our Encino or Downey office for your implant consultation, Dr. Abadi will do the following:

  • Check the condition of your oral health
  • Take X-rays and digital impressions of your mouth
  • Go over your medical history
  • Perform any necessary dental treatments, such as a cleaning

You can ask any questions or concerns you may have and our dentist will be happy to answer. If he determines that a dental implant is the right restorative solution for you, he’ll start customizing your treatment plan.

The Implant Procedure

When you come in for your implant procedure, we’ll clean your mouth before applying a local anesthetic to numb the surgical site. This ensures that you won’t feel anything during the procedure. Once we determine you’re feeling comfortable and relaxed, we’ll get started.

We’ll gently open the gums so space is provided for the implant before surgically placing the titanium post into your jawbone. Once your post is in place, your gums will be repositioned back around the implant. You’ll then leave our office to start the osseointegration process. For about three to six months, your bone will naturally fuse into your implant in order to create a secure and durable bond.

Completing the Restoration

After you’ve healed, you come back to our office and complete your restoration. Dr. Abadi will place your artificial teeth into your implant and you can leave our office with a brand-new smile. Your custom restoration will look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth, providing you with a beautiful smile for a lifetime.
